War to waste: this is the motto of many companies that have started a lean transformation and are waging war against the seven basic wastes identified by that methodology.<\/p>\n

But almost invariably Lean projects have focused on increasing flexibility, efficiency and customer service without paying much attention to other kinds of waste which are not only a damage to the environment but also a cost for the company. They have also overlooked the fact that the ever growing environmental consciousness of consumers is an important factor of competitiveness and success.<\/p>\n

GC&P\u2019s methodology\u00a0\u201cLean and Green\u201d<\/b>\u00a0combines Lean principles and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

The motto of the new approach\u00a0\u201cLean & Green\u201d<\/b>\u00a0is\u00a0\u201cwar to all wastes\u201d<\/b>\u00a0and it entails to add to the classic 7 wastes to combat a new one: environmental waste. Becoming a zero emission company and reducing energy consumption makes a company even more efficient and competitive.<\/p>\n
